This Soul- listening meditation enables you to connect with your Soul and feel supported and protected. It takes roughly five to fifteen minutes but can become shorter with practice. Find a quiet place and lie down or sit with your back supported. Close your eyes and start breathing slowly and consciously as described in the first breath exercise. Breathe like this for one to three minutes to come to a centered place. Stay aware of your breath.
Imagine a solar disk in your chest. Send your breath through that solar sphere and continue to breathe for another minute. Then, mentally expand that solar sphere until you feel it engulf you completely as you continue breathing slowly and consciously. Your body is now entirely supported by this solar disk. Relax into it, and feel nourished, cherished, and supported.
At this time, send your breath and solar liquid light through all organs and cells to fill them up from the top down. Focus on the top of your head, your scalp, and the cavity of your skull, which you can envision as a chalice. Fill it up along with your entire brain, eyes, nose, mouth, gums, teeth, throat, larynx, neck, spine, muscles, arteries, veins, fascia, organs, and glands. Then, allow it to fill your shoulders and chest cavity, lungs, heart, thymus gland, diaphragm, abdominal cavity, liver, gallbladder, stomach and gut, kidneys and adrenals, spleen, and pancreas. Going to the pelvis, fill up the bladder and sex organs. Move to the extremities, and fill up the muscles, connective tissue, and bone marrow so that golden light is dripping from your fingertips and toes. Send any unwanted energy into the Earth.
Consider this as a blessing of the Earth. Connect to the sun of our universe and the central sun of the galaxy as you now become a complete conduit of the golden light between Earth and Heaven. Enjoy this space for a while.
Next, connect to your Soul by asking: Soul, are you there? Wait for the answer. Your Soul can come as a sensation or an intuitive thought. Register the sensation and sit with it.
Ask a question that you would like an answer to. It could be about your past, your future, or your current situation. Wait for the answer. It could be an intuitive feeling that floats up into your awareness.
You might choose to ask about an event, for example, “What is the purpose of this event in front of me? How will I benefit from it? Where is the silver lining?”
If you are not able to discern an answer immediately, wait for one or two days. It might come to you while reading or seeing something on television that directly answers the question. Stay open to this type of communication. You may repeat this exercise to get a handle on the components.
